DJ Jazzy Jang to Tour Europe
Actor Jang Keun Suk revealed that he was planning on having a
European Club Tour at the end of the year.
On July 7th, Jang Keun Suk talked at a press conference preceeding
his show in Seoul, part of his 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour, which
was held at a stadium at Korea University.
"I love new places and new challenges, " he said, "I don't like to
be satisfied and stay in one place and that's why I want to take on
this new challenge."
He went on to say that he was planning on a club tour of Europe
at the end of the year. He expressed wishes to hold small
performances in clubs with his new electronic music and debuting as
an international DJ.
"I'm more known for my acting in Korea but in other countries that
use different languages, my music can tell them more about me," he
confided, "I believe that I can reach out to a lot of people and
that's why I'm planning on this tour."
After his current tour is over, he plans to invite around 1500
people to a club and have a small performance to let people
experience what he's talking about.
Last March, he was able to sell out his shows in Singapore, Hong
Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Shanghai and Tokyo. As a 20th
anniversary of his debut, he started off his 2012 Jang Geun Seok
Asia tour.
This past May 30th, he released his first Japanese Album, "Just
Crazy." He was shot to the top of the Oricon charts within a week
of the release.

SNSD Selected as Model for Casio ‘Baby G’ Wrist Watches
Electronics maker Casio has appointed Korea’s female idol group, Girls’ Generation, as the image character for the wrist watch, “Baby G”, in the Asia market for a limited time. There are also plans to sell a limited Girls’ Generation model before the year ends. By appointing Asia’s top idol group, the aim is to boost up the value of the brand.
Girls’ Generation will be the image character in eleven Asian countries, including China, Korea, Indonesia, and many others. However, this excludes Japan. The plan is to have a 50% increase in sales for 2013 compared with 2011.
The promotion plans to advertise on the website, store fronts, newspapers, and magazines. The length of contract is planned for one year, starting in mid July.

SUPER☆GiRLS hold release event for “Puripuri♥SUMMER Kiss”
On July 7th, idol group SUPER☆GiRLS held a
release event for their latest single, “Puripuri♥SUMMER
Kiss“, at Yomiuri Land in Tokyo.
Despite the unfortunate rain, over 2,000 fans gathered at
Yomiuri Land to celebrate the singles release. The members of
SUPER☆GiRLS took the stage in their summer clothes and performed a
total of 5 songs including their newest, “Puripuri♥SUMMER
Kiss”.
Since July 7th was the Tanabata (Japanese star
festival) day, the girls read their wishes that were written on a
tanzaku (long strips of paper for writing poetry on).
Leader Yasaka Saori revealed, “I wrote to
participate in ‘Kohaku’.” Meanwhile, Kano
Kaede said, “What I wrote on mine is for SUPER☆GiRLS
to be loved by everybody.”
At the end of the event, the girls pulled out a 6 meter long
tanzaku, and wrote in big letters, “To be able to
participate in ‘Kohaku’.”

In addition to being screened at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, the movie has already won the jury prize at the 36th Hong Kong International Film Festival. The story is a humorous and unique one which revolves around the romance of a timid teacher and high school girls.
urbangarde will also be providing their tunes “Datenshi Pop” and “Birthday Song” as insert songs for the movie, in addition to singing the theme song. The movie will be screened at the Euro Space theater in Tokyo, beginning on October 13th.
